Traditional House West Sumatra ( Gadang House)

Gadang house is named for the Minangkabau traditional house which is the traditional home and many encountered in the province of West Sumatra, Indonesia. This house was also called other names by local people with the name Home Bagonjong or thereis also a mention by name Houses Banjung. Model of this home is also often found in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. However, not all regions of theMinangkabau Darek are allowed to set up this traditional house, only in areas that already havestatus as a Nagari can be founded this house, also in the area called Rantau, this traditional house was alsoused to be no established by the nomads Minangkabau.
Function 
           Gadang house as a place to live together, have separate provisions. Number of rooms depends on the number of women who live in it. Each of these women who have been married get a room. Balinese Home

Home Design of Central Java

Central Java traditional house is a simple house-shaped, generally rectangular-shaped box, this house is called house joglo.This image is a form of house joglo, but on the outer portion is usually coated with a wall made of woven bamboo, or it could be with wooden planks. Central Java's home is more than just a place to live. Java community prefers the moral community and the need to regulate people getting together in one unit. The longer the demands of the community in the growing family, so arises the level of inter-human level positions that influence the physical appearance of a family home. Then arises architectural identity in the community. Central Java's home is a status symbol for the owners and also meaning keep a secret about the life of the owners.           Joglo house is mostly owned by those who can afford. This is due to home form joglo require building materials and more expensive than other forms of home. Javanese society in the past assume that joglo home should not be owned by most people, but the house joglo only allowed to house the nobility, the king's palace, and the princes, and people who esteemed or respected by the others alone. Today joglo house used by all levels of society and also for various other functions, such as conference hall and offices. Many beliefs that cause people is not easy to make a house shape joglo. Houses form joglo besides requiring more materials, also requires a large financing, especially if the house is damaged and needs to be repaired.
